About the Vakratunda Form
Vakratunda — the curved-trunk form — is the first of the eight forms of Ganesha in the Mudgala Purana. The trunk curling to the left is the Vastu-auspicious orientation, drawing energy inward. This form specifically represents Ganesha as the destroyer of ego and pride. The antique gold matte gives this idol the deep, aged quality of a heritage temple piece — gold without the self-conscious shine of fresh plating.
Where to Place It (Vastu Guide)
| Ganesha faces | North or East. Never south. |
| Trunk direction | Left-curving — most auspicious Vastu orientation. |
| Height | Eye level or above. Never on floor. |
| Avoid | Bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, facing south |
How to Care for It
| Cleaning | Soft dry cloth. Antique matte is UV sensitive. |
| Patina | Develops a deeper patina over time which adds character. |
| Storage | Keep original gift box for safe transport. |
Perfect For
| Home mandir shelf — the auspicious Vakratunda form for new beginnings |
| Premium gifting at ₹1,499 — more distinctive than a standard terracotta idol |
| Office desk North-East corner — Vakratunda for new projects and ventures |
| Those who prefer the depth of antique matte over glossy gold plating |
What is the difference between the gold and silver Vakratunda?
Both are 3.7 inches at ₹1,499 in antique matte finish. Same form — different metal energy. Gold is warm, traditional and temple-like. Silver is cool, meditative and moon-energy aligned. Choose based on your aesthetic and the deity's traditional metal association.
Does it come ready to gift?
Yes. Ships in a protective gift box with a Vastu placement guide included.
