About Kaai Green and Black
Kaai green (raw mango green) is one of the traditional festival colours of Lord Ganesha in Maharashtra — kaai (raw mango) leaves are offered to Ganesha at the start of Ganesh Chaturthi as a symbol of new life and new beginnings. The black base on this idol represents the cosmic darkness from which creation emerges — it is associated with Saturn (Shani) energy and is considered protective against negative forces.
