About the Vakratunda Form
Vakratunda — meaning ‘curved trunk’ — is the first and most auspicious of the eight forms of Ganesha described in the Mudgala Purana. The trunk curling to the left is the Vastu-auspicious orientation, drawing energy inward into the home. This form specifically represents Ganesha as the destroyer of ego and pride. The antique silver matte gives this idol the depth and heritage quality of an old temple piece.
Where to Place It (Vastu Guide)
| Ganesha faces | North or East. Never south. |
| Trunk curls | To the left — most auspicious Vastu direction. |
| Height | Eye level or above. Never on floor. |
| Avoid | Bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, facing south |
How to Care for It
| Cleaning | Soft dry cloth. Antique matte is UV sensitive. |
| Patina | Develops a gentle patina over time which adds to the heritage character. |
| Storage | Keep original gift box for safe transport. |
Perfect For
| Home mandir shelf — 3.7 inch has right presence for a mandir piece |
| Those who prefer silver over gold and want the Vakratunda auspicious form |
| Premium gifting at ₹1,499 — more considered than a basic terracotta idol |
| Office desk North-East corner — Vakratunda for new ventures and projects |
What is the difference between the silver and gold Vakratunda?
Both are 3.7 inches at ₹1,499 in antique matte finish. The silver version has the cool, meditative quality of the moon metal. The gold version has the warm, traditional quality of the sun metal. Both are the Vakratunda left-trunk form. Choose silver if you prefer a cooler aesthetic or worship Ganesha for Mercury/intellect blessings. Choose gold if you prefer the warmth of traditional gold temple iconography.
Does it come ready to gift?
Yes. Ships in a protective gift box with a Vastu placement guide included.
