Lord Ganesha Idol – 3 Inch | 999 Silver Plated White Terracotta Round Base | Gold Art India
Lord Ganesha — Vighnaharta, remover of obstacles, lord of beginnings. This 3-inch idol features 999 silver plated white terracotta finish with a round base, weighs 130 grams, and ships in a gift box at ₹899. Compact enough for a car dashboard, detailed enough for a home mandir shelf.
The round base variant adds stability and a distinct visual profile — the circular platform under Ganesha gives the idol a finished, altar-ready quality. Same 999 silver plating and white terracotta finish as the standard variant, with the round base designed for flat shelf and desk placement without risk of tipping.

About This Finish
Gold Art India pioneered the combination of electroplated finishes with terracotta-style hand-painted colour work on deity idols in India. The double-lens eye technique gives the idol a life-like gaze that single-painted eyes cannot replicate. Every piece is inspected before packaging — the 999 silver plated white terracotta round base finish you receive will be consistent with product images.

What is the benefit of the round base?
The round base distributes the idol's weight more evenly, making it more stable on smooth surfaces like glass shelves, marble counters, or polished office desks. It also gives the idol a more finished, altar-piece quality — the circular platform visually anchors the figure. Functionally it is also easier to rotate the idol to adjust the facing direction.
What is the difference between 999 silver plated and regular silver plated?
999 silver is 99.9% pure silver — the highest purity available. Standard silver plating on cheaper idols uses lower grades like 925 or even silver-coloured alloys. Gold Art India uses genuine 999 grade electroplating, which gives a brighter, more reflective finish and better tarnish resistance compared to lower purity platings.
Can I energise this Ganesha idol at home?
Yes. Place the idol on a clean red or yellow cloth. Light a diya with ghee. Offer durva grass, modak, and red flowers — these are Ganesha's most auspicious offerings. Chant Om Gan Ganapataye Namah 108 times. For a permanent puja room placement, a brief Prana Pratishtha by a priest is recommended, though daily home consecration is widely practised and fully valid.
Which day should I bring the idol home?
Wednesday (Budhwar) is the day most associated with Ganesha worship and considered ideal for bringing a new Ganesha idol home. Chaturthi (the 4th day of every lunar fortnight) is another auspicious time. Ganesh Chaturthi in August–September and Diwali are the two most significant occasions for installing a new Ganesha murti.
Does it come in a gift box?
Yes. Ships in a protective gift box — presentable enough to gift directly without rewrapping. The packaging is designed to keep the idol safe in transit. If you are ordering as a gift, no additional wrapping is needed.
