Lord Venkateshwara (Balaji) Idol — 9 Inch Gold Plated Matte Finish | Home Temple | Gold Art India
A large 9 inch Tirupati Balaji idol in clean gold electroplated matte finish. The matte topcoat over the gold plating removes the harshness of a glossy surface while keeping the warm, luminous quality of gold. The most classic of the four 9 inch Balaji finishes. At ₹2,999 it is the traditional choice for a home mandir where a gold Balaji is wanted without the visual noise of a very shiny finish.

About the Gold Plated Matte Finish
Gold plated matte is the most straightforward of the four 9 inch Balaji finishes. Gold is electroplated onto the surface and then a matte topcoat is applied. The gold remains fully present and warm, but the shine is removed so it does not reflect light harshly. This makes it easier to place in a mandir without getting visual glare from lighting. The idol looks gold in every sense — warm, rich, classic — without the mirror-like quality of fully glossy gold plating. Most traditional home mandirs that specify a gold Balaji will be happy with this finish.

Which finish should I choose between gold matte, gold antique and two-tone?
Gold matte is the cleanest and most classic — gold, no shine, no ageing treatment. Gold antique has the same matte quality but with an additional darkening treatment that makes it look aged and heritage. Two-tone silver gold matte combines both metals with a matte finish, giving the most layered and visually rich result. For a first Balaji for a new home mandir, gold matte is the safest and most universally appropriate choice.
Does it come ready to gift?
Yes. Ships in a protective gift box with a Vastu placement guide included.
