This idol captures Lord Ram at the moment he draws his sacred bow, Kodanda, in the pose of a warrior protecting dharma. The bow and arrow are gold plated separately, creating a striking contrast against the antique matte silver body. The detailing on the crown, armour, quiver and facial expression reflects the standard expected from a deity idol rather than a decorative figurine.
The idol is sculpted in polyresin — far more durable and detail-retaining than plaster or clay. A conductive base coat is applied to the surface. The body goes through a 999 silver electroplating bath; the bow and arrow go through a gold bath separately. An antique matte topcoat is applied to create the aged, regal quality.
