About the Form
This idol captures Lord Ram at the moment he draws his sacred bow, Kodanda, in the pose of a warrior protecting dharma. The bow and arrow are gold plated separately, creating a striking contrast against the antique matte silver body. The detailing on the crown, armour, quiver and facial expression reflects the standard expected from a deity idol rather than a decorative figurine.
How It Is Made
The idol is sculpted in polyresin — far more durable and detail-retaining than plaster or clay. A conductive base coat is applied to the surface. The body goes through a 999 silver electroplating bath; the bow and arrow go through a gold bath separately. An antique matte topcoat is applied to create the aged, regal quality. Genuine electroplating at 999 grade silver purity — not spray paint, not metallic lacquer.
Where to Place It (Vastu Guide)
| Idol faces | East or North-East |
| You sit | Facing East during puja |
| Height | Eye level or above. Never on floor. |
| In mandir | North-East corner of puja room |
| Car (4 inch) | Face toward driver |
| Office desk | North-East corner facing East |
| Avoid | Bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, floor level, facing south |
How to Care for It
| Cleaning | Soft dry cloth only. Never water, wet cloth, soap or chemicals. |
| Puja offerings | Offer milk or water in a bowl placed in front. Never pour directly on the idol. |
| Patina | The antique matte finish develops a gentle patina over time — natural and desirable. |
| Sunlight | Avoid prolonged direct sunlight. The matte topcoat is UV sensitive. |
| Storage | Keep the original gift box for safe transport or storage. |

Which size should I buy — 4 inch or 5.7 inch?
The 4 inch at ₹1,999 is right for car dashboards, office desks, study tables and everyday gifting. The 5.7 inch at ₹3,999 is for home mandirs and living room display. If in doubt, the 5.7 inch is the right mandir piece.
Why is the bow and arrow gold plated when the body is silver?
The Kodanda, Ram's sacred bow, is described in texts as divine and radiant. Gold reflects that radiance while the silver body gives Lord Ram the cool, meditative quality of a warrior at peace. The contrast also draws the eye to the bow at full draw — the defining image of Ram in his Kshatriya warrior form.
Is 999 silver the same as sterling silver?
No. Sterling silver is 925 grade (92.5% pure). Our 999 grade silver electroplating is 99.9% pure — the highest purity available. It gives a brighter, more reflective finish and resists tarnishing better in dry conditions.
Can I energise this idol at home?
Yes. Place on a clean cloth or wooden platform. Light a diya and offer fresh flowers. Chant Jai Shri Ram 108 times or recite the Ram Raksha Stotra. Sprinkle Ganga jal around the idol if available.
Does it come ready to gift?
Yes. Ships in a protective gift box with a Vastu placement guide inside.
