About the Lakshmi Venkateswara Form
The Srinivasa form — Venkateswara with Lakshmi on his lap — is the most complete and auspicious Balaji iconographic form. Venkateswara alone represents the divine protector; with Lakshmi beside him he represents the complete union of prosperity and protection. The two elephants at the base (Gaja Lakshmi symbolism) reinforce the prosperity aspect. The black face is the traditional iconographic feature of Tirupati Balaji, representing the dark complexion described in the Puranas. The black, gold and silver three-tone finish gives this idol the most complex and premium visual presence in the Balaji range.
