Moreshwar Temple (Morgaon)
The first and most important temple, where the journey begins and ends. The idol of Ganesha here has a serpent over its head.
Story: Ganesha took the form of Mayureshwar (riding a peacock) to defeat the demon Sindhu, restoring peace and balance. -
Siddhivinayak Temple (Siddhatek)
Located by the Bhima River, this temple is known for fulfilling wishes.
Story: Vishnu worshipped Ganesha here before defeating Madhu and Kaitabha. Pleased, Ganesha blessed him with strength and wisdom. -
Ballaleshwar Temple (Pali)
Ganesha is worshipped as Ballaleshwar, named after a devoted child Ballal.
Story: Ballal’s father punished him for devotion. Ganesha appeared and promised to stay forever at Pali. -
Varadvinayak Temple (Mahad)
Known for granting boons and fulfilling desires.
Story: A prince named Rukmangada was saved from a curse. Ganesha blessed him with prosperity. -
Chintamani Temple (Theur)
Symbolizes wisdom and peace, removes worries (Chinta).
Story: Sage Kapila’s wish-fulfilling gem was stolen. Ganesha retrieved it and stayed here as Chintamani Vinayak. -
Girijatmaj Temple (Lenyadri)
Located in a cave, connected to Parvati’s devotion.
Story: Parvati meditated here. Ganesha was born as Girijatmaj at this spot. -
Vighnahar Temple (Ozar)
Dedicated to the remover of obstacles.
Story: Ganesha defeated the demon Vighnasura, who then requested to be remembered as a symbol of strength. -
Mahaganapati Temple (Ranjangaon)
A grand and powerful form of Ganesha resides here.
Story: Shiva prayed here before defeating Tripurasura with Ganesha’s blessings.
